Just an Ordinary Morning

It was just another ordinary morning
You couldn't expect a thing.
Nothing was unusual or out of place
But then my alarm clock started to
Sing!

Father came in and opened the door
My, he had shrunk to my hip!
He had grown a ten-foot long beard,
And his nose was just a snip!

Mother came behind him,
Her hair was longer than
Rapunzel's!
It had turned purple and a million
Feet long,
It nearly reached a billion!

My room started shaking,
And everything was upside-down!
I was walking on the ceiling,
My pictures started to frown!

I was so surprised,
My sister was eleven!
My cat, usually nice and sweet,
Was suddenly very stubborn!

Then, there was a deafning BANG!
And everything was all right!
My sister was three again,
Dad regained his normal height.

But then my alarm clock started to sing.........
