It was my classmates birthday. He brought nerds (tiny bits of sour, lump-shaped candy) as a treat.
Then, after school was out, Riddhi played a joke on me:
Riddhi: "Have you ever seen nerds? Say no."
Absent-minded, I thought she meant a movie, novel, or whatever called 'Nerds Say No.'
Me: "No."
Riddhi: "Then you're a nerd!"
I looked at her blankly. The truth of what she really was saying hit me with a whoosh, a heap of snow sliding off a roof. I also didn't like that joke at all (calling someone 'a nerd' meant that person was dumb) and I showed it in my look, but she just laughed until she nearly split her sides.
