Tragedy: A Lament

                                                                                by Hannah Wang

Who shot the poison arrow,
Destined for great sorrow,
Making us a graveyard?
What happened to days
Where young girls dreamed away,
Not spinning a single shard?
Where are the boys,
Who caused great noise,
Where now lays eerie silence?
Where are the children who filled the ponds,
Now vanished, never to respond,
As though there was a bout of violence?
What happened to our lovely home,
That is now covered and filled with loam,
What happened to the Place of Peace?

Who fired the arrow of disease?
